Living-Foods Nutrition We become what we eat. Over a life time, what we eat either diminishes us (promoting aging & degeneration) or fortifies us, leading to vital health throughout our lives.

 Living-foods, or foods which have not been heated or processed in any unnatural way, are full of thier enzymes and thier vitamins, minerals and other nutrients have been left undamaged. When foods are heated above around 114 degrees Fahrenheit, enzymes (the catalist for life) are destroyed and any oils or fats oxydize (creating free radicles which steal your cells oxygen, potentiating cancer), and minerals & vitamins become damaged from all the vibrating from the molicules shaking around in the heat. Your nourishment shrivels, withers and dies. Eating this way, eventually your body becomes enzymatically defitient, your body suffers oxydative stress (leading to all kinds of dis-eases) and your body suffersmalnutrition, leading to an overall degenerated psysiological condition.We have come to think of this as "Normal" and what aging is about. This is not true.

 Living-foods, which have not been distroyed by any 'processing' by heat or other methods, help keep your body in optimal condition. If you drive an expensive car, you probably choose not to put lower quality fuel into it. Your body is a 'vehicle' that has evolved over billions of years, and can carry you in health to what most consider a very old age - without suffering in your older years with degeneration. Also if you suffer dis-ease now, you can bring your body back into ease & vital health by paying attention to, and nourishing your body with, 'pysiologically appropreate' fresh foods.

 If you have taken some steps towards living healthier, but feel you need some support to take it to the next level, I may be able to help you. If it seems like you don't have enough time, energy or know-how to prepare full, healthy meals each day for your self & your loved ones, I can help.   1. Personal Chef Services;

     I can come to your house or office, regularly or on special occasions, to prepare Gourmet Living-Foods Dishes for you and your loved ones. I can also guide you so you can learn how to create your own healthy and delcious dishes and empower you to take charge of your own health and well-being.

    • We complete an interview to customize your meals based on your favorites, preferences, allergies, health challenges and dislikes.
    • I can shop for the freshest ingredients & prepare delicious living-foods dishes in your home & clean up after the preparation.
    • However many meals per week you wish.
    • You can learn to create yummy healthy dishes yourself.
    • Prior to the start day a menu & budget will be agreed on.
    • Typically, you provide some way for me to purchase the foods needed for the menu.
    • I can also offer you guided shopping to help you better pick the foods & products you need.

  2. Private (live-in) Chef & Guide

     One of the premier services that I offer is that of being availible in your home, as your household Private Chef. You can expect healthy, delicious Gourmet fresh meals featuring, many of my original nutritious & sumptuous living-food dishes. You can experience the full palette of living-foods epicurial delights! In addition, if you desire a more hands-on approach in which I teach you to create & accomplish your own Living-Foods dishes that is availible as well. As always I am flexible to work trades or barters into our arrangement.
    • We complete an interview to customize your meals based on your favorites, allergies or health challenges and dislikes.
    • I will shop for the freshest ingredients & prepare delicious living-foods dishes in your home & clean up after the preparation.
    • However many meals per week you wish.
    • Empower yourself by learning to create yummy healthy dishes through direct, customized hands-on instructions.
    • Prior to the start day a menu and a budget will be agreed on.
    • Typically, you set me up with some way to purchase the foods needed for the menu.
    • I can also offer you guided shopping tours to help you better pick the foods & personal products you need.

  3. Workshops

     I am planning upcomming workshops in which you can learn & the benefits of a Living-Foods lifestyle, by learning the basics of recipe preparation, nutrition, & how to translate your favorite cooked foods into healthy Living-Foods delights.

     Celebrations can be some of the most important yet stressful events in our lives. Perhaps you would like to share delicious and nutritious food while avoiding the hassle of making it your self. I am availible to help you plan & provide a truly memorable dining experience for you & the people important to you.

     Contact me well in advance of your special day & we can create together an experience that you & your guests will recall with pleasure for ever after. I am more than willing & able to develop a menu that is sensitive to any allergies & dislikes your guests may have. Living-foods, by its very nature, also satisfies the dietary requirements of all your vegetarian, vegan, glucos intolerant, lactos intolerant (and other food sensitivities), macrobiotic, koshur, & halal friends as well as everyone who just loves to eat yummy food, thus freeing you from the worry and concern of having to create & provide multiple special menus.

 Perhaps a formal arrangement between us may not be the best option. I am flexible. I enjoy working out barter/trade arrangements as well. We have more than just money to offer each other!

Experience:

 I have been seeking natual healthy living insights my whole life, in one way or another. I've tried vegetarianism & lacto-ovo vegitarianism & entomaphagy, learned about food combinding, fasting, healing with herbs, veganism, holistic massage, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Energywork & Bi-lateral stimulation, and in the last four years I have taken some important steps toward realizing my goal of living in tune with nature by exploring & thriving on living-foods, a way of living I first had discovered three years before I actually really tried it. A whole new fresh reality unfolded before me.

 I sort of jumped in head first once I decided to take the first step. Well actually, I was attending a 10 day silent meditation retreat - which was quite the experience in it's self I had some insights while meditating and half pondering the notion of an ideal meditation diet. While I was there meditating in the silent room - every once in a while a stomach gurgle, hick-up, burp or other digestive anouncement would make it's self known.

 This would happen most noticeably during the meditations which came just after the meal times. At times, it was like a digestive orchestra in the meditation hall!

Stuffed Red Peppers I started to wonder if there was an uncomplicated 'meditation condusive' diet that was easy enough on digestion that your meditation and mind wouldn't be abruptly distracted with these symtoms.

 While I was trying to quite my mind & stay focused on the meditation technique, it occured to me that of the many forms of foods that exist in the world, fruits are literally reaching & calling out out to be eaten with thier ripe,bright colors, vibrant smells, & sweet taste, - designed to be appealing to us, because as we all know - as we are supposed to then run around and deposit them elsewhere thereby helping the plants spread their seed.

 After I returned home from the retreat, a good friend after hearing some of my ponderings, ran next door and brought me a book about fresh foods,& I opened it up and started to read. This book not only covered food combining principles but explained them from a point of view of the original diet - food before fire. What did we eat before we discovered fire? What foods can you eat without fire? After some reading, I decided to try eating only uncooked foods for one week to see how I felt. Well that first week was amazing, and I felt so good that it turned into 6 months, and now it's been over 5 years!

 During the first 6 months while seeking out more sources of information & online support forums, I tried, & quite enjoyed eating a simple style of eating called "mono-eating"; eating onefood at a time and letting the digestive system have time in-between digesting each food (fruit, vegetable, nut etc). This way of eating felt very refreshing & cleansing to my body. I felt like suspected I should have always felt - vibrant, fresh, clear, strong, and full of energy. It felt great, however after 6 months, I started to crave more elaborate meals, and I was led down a path that helped me realize that at that point in my life, mono-eating wasn't sustaining my emotional needs for food. Emotional needs? Ever wonder why people have 'comfort foods' - those foods that are so addicting? Some of our earliest memories are of people using food to sooth our emotions. Pizza (grain/dairy), chocolate (sugar/dairy/caffeen) & icecream (dairy/sugar), are some of the most sought after and effective drugs!

  Well, over the course of the next couple years, I tried some adjustments, read some more books, became familiar with more recipes, and learned a lot from other people I met through potlucks and online forums - and eventually became a gourmet living-foods Chef at a living-foods restaurant in Vancouver BC, where I figured out how easy it is to not only fully nourish your body, but also how to make it delicious & sustainable for your healthy future through 'living-foods' recipes that nourish your taste-buds, your emotions & your soul!

 Working at 'The Living-Source' as one in a team of 'GourmetLiving-Foods Chefs', I broadened my understanding of how the elements of recipes can be put together to create the familiar tastes, textures, temperature& other epicurean sensations we all love to enjoy!

 I learned firsthand how virtually any 'favorte' dish can be mimiced not only convincingly, but often much better than the traditional way of preparing it, all with using fresh ingredients. Of course, if you're making Raw Burgers, you're not actually using raw animal muscle, you can make the patty with fresh nut meats, or mushrooms or other innovative sources.

 I have enjoyed guiding clients on their first steps transitioning to a higher percentage of fresh living-foods & help them design their own empowering diet plan, for various conditons successfully such as Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Weight Challenges, Candida, Irritable bowel Syndrome, AIDS & Immune deficiency related conditions, skin conditions, as well as other various 'dis-eases' & deficiencies. I've delighted in seeing those clients kick habits that were not working for them by replacing them with nourishing alternatives.

I can provide you delicious healthy meals, buying you more time allowing you to be more productive and do the things that are important to you!
