I have been seeking natual healthy living secrets my whole life, in one way or another. I've tried vegetarianism, learned about food combining, fasting, herbal medicine, holistic massage, and in the last four years I have taken some important steps toward realizing my goal of living in tune with nature, by exploring & thriving on the living-foods diet, a way of living I first had discovered three years earlier. A whole new reality unfolded before me.

I sort of jumped in head first once I decided to take the first step. Well to be honest, I was attending a 10 day silent meditation retreat (which had nothing to do with living-foods), & while I was there meditating inthe silent room - every once in a while someone would gurgle, hick-up, burp or.. well you get the point. This would happen most noticeably after breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had some previous knowledge of food-combining principles, which led me to wonder if there was an uncomplicated diet that was easy enough on digestion that your meditation wouldn't be abruptly distracted.

While I was trying to refocus on my meditation, it occured to me that of the many forms of foods that exist, fruits are literally reaching out to be eaten. When ripe, plants color the fruit vibrantly, & sweeten their flavor - because as we all know we are supposed to then run aroundand - well poop - them elsewhere thereby helping the plants spread their seed. After I returned home from the retreat, a good friend brought me a book about fresh foods, & I opened it up and started to read. This book not only covered food combining principles but explainedthem from a point of view of the primary or original diet. Food before fire. What did we eat before we discovered fire? What foods can you eat without fire? Afterabout a half a day of reading, I decided to try eating only uncooked foods for one week.Well that first week was amazing, and I felt so good that it turned into 6 months, and now it's been over 4 years!

During the first 6 months while seeking out more sources of information & online support forums, I tried, & quite enjoyed mostly eating a simple style called "mono-eating" (eating one food at a time and letting the digestive system have time in-between digesting each food (fruit, vegetable, nut etc.)). This way of eating felt very refreshing & cleansing to my body. I felt like Iknew I should have always felt - vibrant, fresh, strong, and full ofenergy. It was great, however in the long run, after 6 months, I started to crave, and I was led down a path that helped me realize that at that point in my life, mono-eating wasn't sustaining myemotional needs for food, which led to some challenges with avoiding tempting cooked foods. Emotional needs? Ever wonder why those comfort foods are so addictive? Some of our earliest memories are of people using food to sooth our emotions. Pizza & icecream are some of the best drugs!

Well, over the course of the next couple years, I tried some adjustments, read some more books, became familiar with more recipes, and learned a lot from other people I met through potlucks and online forums - and became a gourmet living-foods Chef at a living-foods restaurant in Vancouver BC. Eventually I figured out how easy it could be to not only fully nourish your body, but also how to make it sustainable by nourishing your taste-buds, your emotions & your soul!

Working at 'The Living-Source' as one of their 'GourmetLiving-Foods Chefs', I broadened my understanding of how the elements of recipes can be put together to create the familiar tastes, textures, temperature & other epicurean sensations we all love to enjoy! I learned firsthand how virtually any ones 'favorte' dish can be mimiced not only convincingly, but often much better than the traditional way of preparing it. Of course, if you're making Raw Burgers, you're not actually using raw animal muscle, you make it with fresh nut meats, or mushrooms or other innovative sources.

I have enjoyed guiding clients on their first steps transitioning to a higher percentage of fresh living-foods. I've enjoyed helping clients design empowering diet plans for healing Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Weight Challenges, Candida, Irritable bowel Syndrome, AIDS & Immune deficiency related conditions, skin conditions, as well as other various 'dis-eases' & deficiencies. I've delighted in seeing them kick habits that were not working for them by replacing them with nourishing alternatives. Your homeostasis is your key to vital health. We can all become empowered using true nourishment to achieve Vitality in our lives! All degenerative dis-eases can be regenerated & brought back into ease. The truth is, health is actually quite easy! I welcome you to come try living-foods for yourself! Contact me for more information!
